Santo Domingo is a big city with #caribbean small-town flair. In one of the oldest colonial settlements in America, you can experience #history at every turn and also get carried away by the joy of life of its inhabitants. The relaxed atmosphere of the locals, the historic buildings and countless street food stalls make it feel more like a small fishing village. #santodomingo is the perfect place to start, because here you can immerse yourself in Dominican #culture and experience history as well as extended #beach days.

A day trip to the island of #soana offers you crystal clear water and real Caribbean vibes. Since it is part of the #naturereserve, you will not find any hotels on the island, but really only beaches, #palmtrees and wooden huts. For the journey you even have the choice between a speedboat or a catamaran.

Altos de Chavón is a replica of a 16th century style village and a tourist attraction in the province of La Romana of the Dominican Republic. It is located on a hill above the Rio Chavon and offers its visitors not only a fantastic view or typical Dominican craftsmanship, but also entices with romantic cobblestone streets and fairytale squares with fountains that invite you to take a walk.

Punta Cana is one of the most popular places on the Caribbean Sea. This #paradise is known for its warm, sky-blue sea with miles of dream beaches. The biggest part of #puntacana borders the Atlantic Ocean in the east and the Caribbean Sea in the south. It lies at the intersection of these two large waters: the Atlantic Ocean is wild and cold and the Caribbean Sea is calmer and warmer. This mixture allows a very interesting underwater world, ideal for #divers and #snorkelers. Punta Cana is located in the #tropical climate zone with year round temperatures around 25-35 C°.

A must on your Central America tour is Panama and it’s capital, Panama City. The metropolis offers you a colourful selection of culture, nature and curiosities. Narrow alleys and colourful #colonial buildings characterise the historic old town Casco Viejo.

Beyond the meter-high skyscrapers and modernity, the small cafés, hip bars and chic restaurants turn the old town into a #romantic nightlife district. It also invites you to take an extensive tour of discovery, especially at sunset. 

The Panama Canal is by far the most popular highlight of the city or even the whole country. It was artificially created by the Americans to create a new shipping link between the Atlantic and the Pacific and still attracts many visitors today. The best view of the canal is from the Miraflores Lock Visitor Center.

The small town of Bajo Boquete is located in the Boquete district of Panama and is often referred to as Boquete. #boquete is the place to be for all #outdoor and adrenaline junkies who travel this wonderful country. Surrounded by a mountainous landscape you can hike through cloud forests, swim in waterfalls or look out for the Quetzal. You can also get a closer look at the rainforest by #hiking over suspension bridges. Not to forget the numerous coffee plantations and delicious coffee.

One of the first things you associate with Costa Rica are the numerous #volcanoes. National parks with unique biodiversity, great views and hot springs await you in this exciting country. One of the most beautiful and famous is the Irazu Volcano, located in the central valley very close to the capital San José. There are two main craters - the "Cráter principal" houses a turquoise green sulphur lake. The smaller crater is called "Diego de la Haya". The crater peaks are mostly covered with clouds, but this is no wonder: it is 3,432 meters above sea level. This makes it the highest active #volcano in Costa Rica and also one of the most dangerous and unpredictable. Again and again it emits ash. 1994 was the last time it emitted material.

The Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the smallest #nationalparks in Costa Rica with a land area of only 683 hectares. But just because of its beautiful beaches - which are considered to be the most beautiful in Costa Rica - Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the most popular and most visited parks in the country.  This is probably one of the reasons why the town of the same name has become one of Costa Rica's major tourist centers. This does have some disadvantages, though: For example, in order not to affect the nature in the park too much, upper limits had to be set for visitors. More than 600 people per day are not allowed to visit the Manuel Antonio National Park. But the situation as a tourist magnet also has advantages for travellers. Manuel Antonio is quite well suited as a base camp for #adventures of all kinds. The offer of tours and activities in Manuel Antonio is huge.

The 111 kilometre long Tarcoles River is home to over 2,000 crocodiles. Maybe you will discover some on a boat trip! 

Also in Nicaragua some outdoor highlights like the Mombacho volcano await you. The 1.344m high volcano is surrounded by tropical rainforest and is home to unique flora and fauna. On a trail you can walk around the volcano and enjoy breathtaking views. 

Granada is the third largest city in the Central American state of Nicaragua. It is located directly on the Lago Cocibolca and fascinates with its enchantingly romantic colonial flair and magnificent squares. From here you can take #idyllic boat tours through the Isletas with wonderful views of the volcano.
